For this episode of The All-Around Adventure Podcast, I'm joined by world traveler and safety professional, Rachel Housman.

Rachel is a returned guest on the podcast and she's someone who's covered a lot of ground as a traveler. With most of the places that she's been to was while she was traveling solo. Traveling alone as a female brought many safety concerns. And Rachel learned a lot of lessons along the way and she developed different strategies and tactics to travel more safely. Now she works full-time as a safety professional and offers a lot of valuable information through her brand Ally Safety.

In this episode, Rachel tells us about some of her early experiences as a solo female traveler. And what she's implemented in order to make her travels more safe. We also discuss various hazards that travelers can face while traveling for both work and personal purposes. Such as hotel considerations, having to drive long distances, and traveling with children. Furthermore, we discuss the importance of avoiding complacency and maintaining situational awareness while you're out and about.
