On this season’s closer, Dr. Shari Dade is joined by Dr. Charlotte McCloskey. Dr. McCloskey is the Local Recovery Coordinator and staff Psychologist of the Kansas City VA Medical Center. In her role she serves as the VISN Point of Contact for both fellow Local Recovery Coordinators and the Supervisors of Veteran Peer Support Specialists. Dr. McCloskey is also the EPIC Coordinator, Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention’s Tele-mental Health Champion and serves on many of Kansas City VA’s hospital wide committees. For example, she is the Co-Chair for the Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion SharePoint where she acts as a Subject Matter Expert. Also serving as a SME for JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) Consultation Program. She is formerly a Postdoctoral Training Director and most recently, Dr. McCloskey is very proud of helping set up the Kansas City VA’s Second Victim Program-RISE, where she is a core trainer.
