If your kids are on any social media platform, this is an episode you don’t want to miss. Rania and Jenn welcome Sam Chapman, Joann Bogard and Amy Neville, all parents who are fighting relentlessly for legislative changes to address the online fentanyl crisis and other dangers of the online world.

About our guests:

• Sam returns on the podcast to share this story of losing his 16-year-old son Sammy to an unintentional fentanyl overdoes death. Sam has now become a HUGE advocate in the social media monitoring and fentanyl space, who recently attended and spoke at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing with Tech CEO’s. He shares what that experience was like and touches on his thoughts of Mark Zuckerberg’s apology to victim families who were there.

• Joann Bogard and her husband lost their 15-year-old son Mason after he tried a viral social media trend called “the choking game” and ultimately took Mason’s life. She joined the episode to share her story and her work on the Kids Online Safety Act.

• Amy Neville lost her 14-year-old son Alexander Neville to an unintentional fentanyl overdose death via drugs purchased on Snapchat. They started a foundation in Alexander’s memory.

We thank Sam, Joann and Amy for sharing their stories with our audience. It’s truly a conversation all parents should be aware of and engaged in.

Join us each Wednesday at 10am CST.
