In this episode, we talk to Lisa Galay, head of experiential learning for Grades 7-12 at the Halton District School Board, as well as Tara Bursey, associate educator at the Art Gallery of Burlington and Chloe Yang, Educator in the Halton District School Board.
We talk about how experiential learning opportunities enrich the learning in schools and open up a world of possibility for students and educators. We highlight the Studio Duo program, run by the Art Gallery of Burlington, a community partner, in connection with the Halton District School Board. The program connects working artists from across Canada to classrooms, in a virtual experiential program. We talk about the limitations and the possibilities that COVID has created for experiential learning, as well as an eye to the future of experiential learning.
