Joel is joined by two state representatives from Arkansas, Rep. Megan Godfrey (D) and Rep. Brian Evans (R) to discuss what educators should know about state politics, how the profession could better recruit and retain highly qualified teachers, and what policies they would like to see implemented.

Guest Bio:

Rep. Megan Godfrey
Represents District 89 in the northwest part of Arkansas. She has a background in education where she worked 14 years as a public school teacher, specialist, and director of English Language Learning and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction at the University of Arkansas.

Rep. Brian Evans
Represents the 43rd District of Arkansas in Central Arkansas.
He serves on the House Education Committee and is also the president of the school board for Cabot Public Schools.
He works in Logistics where he serves as President of L&L Freight Services, Inc.
