8 febbraio, 1931. Sono passati 90 anni dalla nascita del ribelle per eccellenza della modernità, James Dean, eppure la sua leggenda sembra ancora intramontabile. Solitario, ambizioso e dalla personalità fuori dagli schemi, James Dean non ha soltanto contribuito alla nascita di un nuovo tipo di recitazione cinematografica, ma ha anche profondamente segnato una generazione di artisti (da Bob Dylan a John Lennon) e più in generale la cultura giovanile del suo tempo e degli anni a venire.

di Hollywood giovanissimo e in soli due anni girò ben tre pellicole di grande successo. Una carriera purtroppo tragicamente interrotta da un incidente d’auto che, a soli 24 anni, gli tolse la vita. Quella di James Dean è la storia di un’anima tanto pura quanto tormentata, sempre in bilico fra realtà e leggenda, una vita di corsa e di confine, alla ricerca di una qualche verità.
